Leash Law & Animal Waste

• Over 4-month-old dog or cat - tag/license due MAY 1st annually $5.00.

• Current St. Louis County vaccination certificate required.

• Leash law passed in 2003 – requires all dogs be on leash if off owner property, and must be restrained by leash or fence, or indoors if on owner property.

• Animal waste must be removed from owner’s property. It is illegal to allow your pet to defecate on city property or on another’s property. Take your scooper!
